PoundsFTP is your source for quickly and easily submitting orders to the lab.  With the PoundsFTP portal, you have at your fingertips a free tool to submit basic print, proof, and greeting card orders via the Internet.  Although PoundsFTP was developed for those who have broadband Internet access, we did not forget about those who have a slower connection.  You can alternatively zip orders up from our web site so that you can submit them to the lab on a CD at a later time.

This site allows you to browse through individual images on your computer, order print and finishing services for those images and then send us the images through the internet (using our custom FTP process) at the click of a button.

We know you can easily have anywhere between 10-1000 images from any photo shoot.  With our proof web site, you can select an entire folder of images and then order the same print and finishing services for all the images in that folder.

The Advantage
In about the same amount of time it takes to fill out order forms and burn images to a CD they could be on their way to us via the internet and into production as soon as they are received. All of our standard (and some non-standard) print sizes are available as well as the many finishing services we offer. You can also get: Colorized prints, die cut wallets, studio overlays, image retouching, personalized wallets, and photographic greeting cards.

Unless your image requires other than standard center cropping there is no need to format the image to match the print size being ordered.  In fact we prefer that you send us your original camera files saved in .jpg or .tif format.

All you need is a PC, current versions of both Internet Explorer and Java (both available for free).  You will also need a password registered with Pounds and an e-mail address so our automated system can immediately let you know that your order has been received and when it is due out.

While a high speed connection to the internet is certainly a plus, it is NOT a requirement.  If you have a less than high speed or an overused internet connection, you can still take advantage of the speed and convenience of online ordering.  Instead of clicking the button to FTP the images to Pounds, click the CD button. The application will consolidate the images for that order into a single zip file which you can then combine with the zip files for other orders onto a single CD or DVD that you then send to Pounds.  Our automated program will open it and move your order(s) immediately into production without losing time in our traditional order entry department.
