Be aware that some ground orders may be affected.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the way you drive people to your website from search engines like Yahoo or Google. You know you’ve got good SEO if your site is found within the first few listings of a search engine.

Don’t let this overwhelm you and don’t think you have to pay a lot of money for placement. Anyone can create his or her own SEO MOJO!

Use keywords, those words and phrases that are short cuts to information your potential clients need. “Photography”, “weddings” and “senior portraits” are all keywords.

Hyperlink keywords into everything you write. Hyperlinks are those words and phrases that you see within the text of the copy on your website or your emailed promotion pieces, highlighted in blue. They link to an external page or website.

Blog posts, newsletters and your website should all have keywords that hyperlink to more information about your company. Try to use links within the first three sentences of anything you publish on the Internet and just watch your SEO MOJO go!

Marketing your business has changed drastically in the past few years and that’s good news. The advent of social networks like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn have made marketing more cost effective and created the ability to fine tune your target audience.

Facebook allows for the creation of “fan pages” where clients can read the latest information about your company. Fan pages are essentially newsletters but a lot more exciting. You can add photos and testimonials from clients as well as the more obvious links to your website and blog.

Twitter is a wonderful way to keep your name out there on a daily basis. One quick tweet about a project you’re working on is like a little light bulb turning on in the mind of a client

Blogs are essential. They are your Internet voice. Don’t think you have to blog every day. Once a week is fine. Check out WordPress or Blogspot and get started.
