The hottest show in Las Vegas last month had celebrities, comedy, magic, and rock and roll. With educational classes presented by the superstars of photography, spellbinding images in the competition galleries, fun and laughter at the parties, and a free concert by Blues Traveler, WPPI had it all!

At the trade show, the Pounds booth had three lucky “jackpot” winners of our 4GB flash drive drawings:

The mood at the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Convention and Trade Show was upbeat and optimist despite the weak economy and the possible impact on the photography industry. At the WPPI Business Institute co-sponsored by Pounds, there was wide-spread agreement that education and professional development is a smart investment in times like these. We thank all the speakers and attendees for making this pre-convention event such a success. We would also like to thank Kelly Moore, Chris Wunder and Kristi Lamm for being the guest speakers at our booth. Their insights into recession-proof promotions and studio marketing were very valuable. If you missed WPPI, you will still be able to benefit from their advice. The Pounds Community will be sponsoring more opportunities to learn from these pros in the future.

The Pounds Marketing and Sales team is getting ready for the Heart of America Imaging Conference and Expo in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 26 -31, 2009.
